Job Overview

Auro Hotels is in search of a dedicated Housekeeping Operations Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the hotel maintains exceptional cleanliness standards, thereby enhancing guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the cleanliness and efficiency of public areas; perform inspections and follow up as necessary to ensure that the hotel meets high standards of appearance.
  • Create and manage work schedules based on anticipated occupancy levels.
  • Lead effective team meetings; address disciplinary matters and provide counseling when needed.
  • Set, communicate, and monitor performance standards in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff in alignment with Auro Hotels and brand standards, focusing on cleaning techniques and safe product usage.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver outstanding service to guests.
  • Ensure compliance with Auro Hotels and brand standards in all public areas and guest accommodations.
  • Perform quarterly inspections of guest rooms and submit maintenance requests as required.
  • Check cleanliness and supplies in linen closets and carts.
  • Utilize a comprehensive inspection system to verify room quality post-cleaning.
  • Coordinate housekeeping efforts with other departments, including Front Office and Engineering.
  • Manage staffing and payroll to align with productivity and budgetary guidelines.
  • Prepare payroll and schedules as necessary, monitoring actual versus budgeted payroll expenses.
  • Fulfill Manager On Duty responsibilities on a scheduled basis.
  • Maintain adequate inventories of linens, chemicals, and amenities, conducting stock assessments as needed and recommending purchases within budget constraints.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to gain insight into all hotel operations and assist as required.
  • Keep the immediate supervisor informed of any significant issues or unusual occurrences.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for all direct reports as necessary.

Qualifications

Experience/Education:

2-3 years of supervisory experience in hotel housekeeping or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Education:

Associate's degree or higher in Hospitality Management or a related discipline.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role within hotel housekeeping, preferably in a branded hotel environment.
