Role Summary:

The Certified Water Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily functions, maintenance, and evaluation of water processing systems within industrial facilities and public works. This role ensures adherence to environmental regulations, safety standards, and operational protocols while fostering strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management: Directs the daily operations and maintenance of water treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with quality assurance, safety, and environmental standards. Collaborates with supervisory staff to optimize resource utilization and achieve operational goals.
  2. Human Resource Oversight: Manages staffing functions, including recruitment, performance evaluations, and professional development. Works closely with training teams to ensure all personnel receive necessary safety and operational training.
  3. Data Analysis: Reviews water quality reports and operational logs to assess current and future water needs. Ensures consistent monitoring and documentation practices are upheld across all facilities.
  4. Client Relations: Administers client contracts to guarantee satisfaction and compliance. Engages in regular communication with clients, addressing any service issues and providing updates on project progress.
  5. Strategic Development: Collaborates with management to set site objectives and develop strategies that align with overall business goals. Implements process improvements and innovative practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  6. Safety and Compliance: Proactively manages safety protocols and environmental compliance, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations. Develops and maintains emergency response plans for potential operational disruptions.
  7. Performance Evaluation: Assesses employee performance and aligns individual capabilities with organizational needs. Communicates business objectives and progress effectively to all team members.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Science, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Five to seven years of progressive supervisory and management experience in a related field.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven leadership abilities and resource management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of operations management, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in budget management and cost control.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Georgia Class 1 Wastewater license is required.
