Patient Services Coordinator

We are seeking a diligent and friendly Patient Services Coordinator who is dedicated to ensuring an outstanding experience for our patients. This role primarily involves working at our Alpharetta facility, with potential travel to our Sandy Springs location as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, addressing their inquiries and needs with professionalism.
- Respond to patient requests in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Inform healthcare providers of patient arrivals promptly.
- Enhance provider schedules by adhering to check-in protocols and assisting patients efficiently.
- Maintain and update patient records as necessary.
- Verify financial transactions and collect patient payments and copays.
- Provide comfort to patients by anticipating their concerns and answering questions effectively.
- Collaborate with the Front Office Coordinator to manage office supplies and equipment.
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and welcoming.
- Handle phone inquiries professionally and direct calls to the appropriate teams to ensure optimal service.
- Support physician teams and other departments as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role; experience in a medical office is advantageous.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism when interacting with patients and visitors.
- Excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications.
- Strong typing skills with quick and accurate data entry capabilities.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions, both written and oral.
- Adhere to all relevant regulations, including HIPAA compliance.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
