Patient Services Coordinator - Check-out

Provides clerical support to the medical team and to other patient service personnel as indicated.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Answer telephones, take referrals, and transfer calls to appropriate person
  • Schedule appointments and contact patients about upcoming appointments
  • Maintain medical records
  • Activate and inactivate call-forwarding system for the answering system
  • Receive and relay messages to appropriate office personnel
  • Greet patients
  • General clerical work

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum Experience: Some previous work-related experience.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred but not required)
  • Experience with eClinical Works (eCW) EMR (Preferred but not required)

SKILLS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must possess the ability to make decisions and problem solve
