Job Overview

Position Summary

The Program Manager will oversee a variety of initiatives within RealTruck's New Product Development Process. This role requires leading a diverse team to ensure timely delivery of projects, adherence to budget constraints, and maintenance of high-quality standards. Effective communication with all stakeholders, both internal and external, is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring that program objectives are met within the established timeline.
  • Employ Program Management tools to monitor and track deliverables throughout the process.
  • Facilitate weekly meetings with cross-functional teams to guarantee successful project outcomes.
  • Engage in problem-solving discussions with the team to explore viable solutions during challenging scenarios.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate New Product Development (NPD) process requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Category Management team and other departments to define project scope, deliverables, resource needs, budget, and timelines.
  • Lead discussions to resolve issues as they arise during project execution.
  • Exhibit the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Identify essential requirements for collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Assess, evaluate, and mitigate program risks, while preparing reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Present findings and updates to leadership for project approvals and regular reporting sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree is required, ideally in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in program management is necessary. Experience in aftermarket and/or OEM products within the automotive sector is advantageous.
  • Proven experience managing within cross-functional teams and matrix organizations.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Strong understanding of a gated process approach to project management.
  • Proficient in standard software applications (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and familiar with web-based applications.
  • Ability to present information effectively to management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of common business practices, financial calculations, and program cost tracking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to identify key requirements from cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate, and address program risks, and generate reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in driving cross-functional teams to achieve program objectives while adhering to the RealTruck New Product Development Process.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasional travel may be necessary, approximately 10-20%, to meet with suppliers and internal/external customers.
