Position: Engineer - Test III

Role Summary:
As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive testing and evaluation of avionics systems. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the reliability and performance of our electrical components through meticulous test planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute avionics development, qualification, and acceptance testing protocols.
  • Oversee test procedures and provide guidance to technicians in executing tests.
  • Analyze Environmental and EMI data to assess system performance.
  • Utilize measurement techniques to identify root causes of failures in avionics testing.
  • Recognize and address risks associated with test execution.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external laboratories to facilitate testing processes.
  • Support the development of test equipment and methodologies.
  • Operate effectively within environmental and EMI laboratory settings.
  • Ensure hardware requirements are traceable and verified throughout the testing process.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, aerospace engineering, physics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in hardware development, integration, systems engineering, or testing.
  • At least 2 years of experience in planning, executing, and reporting on electronics testing.
  • Proven experience in hardware requirements traceability and verification.
  • Strong practical and analytical knowledge of both analog and digital electronics.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in technical contexts.
  • Ability to foster trust and maintain professional relationships while promoting an inclusive culture.
  • Must meet U.S. citizenship or residency requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with industry standards such as RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461.
  • Knowledge of sensors including LVDT, RTD, thermocouples, pressure transducers, resolvers, and accelerometers.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and MATLAB, as well as Linux environments.
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting test networks.
  • Background in programming, debugging, and troubleshooting microcontroller-based devices.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like git for software development.
  • Advanced degree in electrical, computer, aerospace engineering, or a related field is a plus.
