Position Title: Engineer - Aerospace Systems III
Type: Contract
Salary Range: $50 to $75/hr. W2 - DOE


Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer - Aerospace Systems III to join our team. This role involves a contract position with a duration of 6 months, focusing on the development and implementation of aerospace systems.


Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the aerospace sector.
  • Demonstrated capability to translate high-level system requirements into effective design solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with the installation and troubleshooting of various electronic sensors and components.
  • Familiarity with analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters, power supply components, batteries, solar cells, RF systems, serial communication, and telemetry systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of systems engineering practices, including requirements development and verification methods.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to foster trust and maintain professional relationships while promoting an inclusive work culture.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally admitted refugee or asylee.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in large engineering systems.
  • Experience in designing and developing flight-proven spacecraft hardware.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as MATLAB or Python.
  • Experience with harnessing and component packaging.
  • Familiarity with requirements management software (DNG or JAMA preferred).
  • Experience in product development from initial trade studies to final design, manufacturing, and testing.
