Position Overview

Boeing Electromagnetic Effects (EME) is in search of a dedicated Associate Electromagnetic Effects Engineer to enhance our teams in Everett, WA. This role is pivotal in supporting various Boeing Commercial Airplanes initiatives, spanning from the 737 to the 787 and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in formulating and documenting specifications for diverse communication, sensor, electronic warfare, and other electromagnetic systems and components.
  • Conduct analyses to forecast component performance against established criteria. Execute tests to confirm design performance aligns with requirements.
  • Gather data on supplier and partner performance to ensure adherence to specifications. Provide ongoing support to products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Facilitate project management by collecting project status information. Compile details to assist in the creation of proposal sections for new business development.
  • Offer limited guidance and oversight to entry-level and developing engineers.
  • Operate with minimal supervision.

Work Authorization:

This position requires 100% onsite presence. Compliance with Export Control requirements is essential, necessitating a "US Person" as defined by applicable regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in EME qualification, design, testing, or analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree concentration in physics, electrical, aeronautical, or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in a laboratory testing environment.
  • Background in commercial or military aircraft maintenance and/or modification.
  • Knowledge of electromagnetic theory and advanced mathematics for conducting electromagnetic analysis, design, modeling, and testing.
  • Experience in computational analysis.

Typical Education/Experience Levels:

Level 3: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, along with 5 or more years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Level 4: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, along with 9 or more years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
