CAREER DESCRIPTION

BILINGUAL BENEFITS SPECIALIST - ENGLISH/VIETNAMESE

This position requires fluency in Vietnamese, both spoken and written, alongside English.

WORK LOCATION

Bilingual Benefits Specialists may be assigned to various locations within the county, including community outreach sites.

BILINGUAL COMPENSATION

An additional hourly rate of $1.15 is provided for roles necessitating bilingual capabilities.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & CORE COMPETENCIES:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess knowledge and/or experience in the following areas:

Technology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn new software and applications utilized in daily operations.
Documentation and Record Keeping
  • Attention to detail in work processes.
  • Maintaining and updating client records in compliance with regulations.
  • Ensuring confidentiality of client information as per HIPAA and other regulations.

  • Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Providing unbiased customer service to clients seeking assistance.

  • Ability to manage complex situations independently.
  • Conducting outreach and follow-up with clients.
  • Timely processing of cases in accordance with program guidelines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of the relevant programs is highly desirable but not mandatory.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Newly hired Bilingual Benefits Specialists must complete mandatory training.

WORK ASSIGNMENT AND SCHEDULE
Assignments and schedules will be determined based on departmental needs.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must undergo a background check prior to employment.
