The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric-mental health nursing and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and Treat Patients: Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose psychiatric-mental health conditions, and develop effective treatment plans to address patient needs.
- Prescribe Medications: Order and prescribe medications as necessary to manage patient symptoms and promote optimal health outcomes.
- Provide Education and Support: Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies to promote empowerment and independence.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner to ensure seamless communication and continuity of care.
- Current License: Hold a current and valid license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of California.
- Prescription Authority: Possess full prescription authority and maintain current DEA licensure.
- Experience: Prefer at least two years' experience in a behavioral health setting or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Language Skills: Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred but not required.
