Position OverviewNavient is seeking an Insurance Operations Supervisor to oversee operational functions and processes that align with our business goals.
This role involves providing leadership to team members across various locations, including remote and client sites, as well as offshore teams.
The supervisor will engage directly with clients, outsourcing partners, and suppliers, while also collaborating with internal teams as necessary.
Key responsibilities include recommending operational processes and policies to achieve both immediate performance targets and long-term strategic objectives.
Effective communication with both internal and external teams is essential.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee client-specific insurance operations tasks and processes.
- Delegate responsibilities to direct reports.
- Participate in decisions regarding hiring, promotions, and terminations of team members.
Demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills to guide operational tasks and processes, ensuring departmental performance metrics are met.
Mentor team members in effective revenue cycle practices to foster high performance.
Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and management.
Provide training for new staff members.
Project ManagementEnsure effective communication with management to maintain operational stability.
Work with IT to implement advanced technology solutions for enhanced service delivery and reporting.
Contribute to the development and execution of improvement strategies when performance objectives are not achieved.
Ensure compliance with current billing and regulatory standards.
Monitor key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
Analysis and ReportingIdentify reasons for claim denials or payment delays and collaborate with management to analyze trends and root causes.
Provide insights for weekly and monthly client meetings regarding trends and performance.
Analyze productivity and quality reports to develop action plans for continuous improvement.
General ManagementMaintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Actively participate as a team member, seeking ways to enhance revenue and resolve claims effectively.
Approach challenges with a positive and inclusive mindset.
Accept accountability and provide constructive feedback.
Performance MonitoringReview performance metrics to ensure revenue and profitability targets are met.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, and communicate these with management.
Minimum Requirements:- High School diploma.
- 2+ years of experience in revenue cycle operations (accounts receivable and billing) with a proven track record of exceeding performance expectations.
- 1+ years of leadership experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulatory requirements.
- Experience in project management.
- Data management skills.
- Consistent attendance is essential for this role.
- Demonstrated success in completing assigned tasks and processes.
- Strong initiative and self-direction.
- Effective team-building, coaching, and leadership abilities.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to establish trust and maintain positive professional relationships.
