Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that every dish that leaves our kitchen meets our high standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional leadership and guidance to our kitchen team, ensuring that every team member feels valued and supported.

  • Develop and implement menu planning, inventory management, and food cost control strategies to maximize profitability and minimize waste.

  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working order, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and safety.

  • Collaborate with our executive chef to develop new menu items, recipes, and cooking techniques that showcase our culinary expertise.

  • Manage kitchen staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations to ensure that our team is equipped to deliver exceptional service.

  • Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels to ensure that we're operating within our budget.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers, ensuring that we're receiving high-quality ingredients and products at competitive prices.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure that our kitchen is always compliant and competitive.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior kitchen leadership role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.

  • Proven track record of success in menu planning, inventory management, and food cost control.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.

  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 pounds, and work in a standing position for up to 9 hours.
