Software Development Lead

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Lead to join our team at Waters Corporation. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing Chromatography Data System Applications in a dynamic cloud environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Design and develop Chromatography Data System Applications in a cloud environment, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Establish and follow development best-practices, participate in code and design reviews, and coach junior members to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Coordinate team efforts and workload planning to ensure on-time project delivery meeting quality standards.
  • Interface with product stakeholders to refine requirements through proactive planning and define short-term and long-term deliverables.
  • Drive discussions on requirement refinement, bringing the technology viewpoint into the solutions.
  • Develop long and short-term strategies for software development, organize workload efficiently, and ensure optimal use of team resources.
  • Communicate project progress and provide regular reports to leadership.

**Requirements**

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in a regulated development environment.
  • Strong C#,.Net Core, JSON, OOD experience.
  • Front-end development expertise using Angular, Typescript, Jasmine, and Karma testing frameworks.
  • Proficiency in web page technologies such as HTML, CSS, and REST APIs.
  • Experience with development tools including JIRA, Visual Studio, GitHub, Spinnaker, YAML, Jenkins, Confluence, and Datadog.
  • Hands-on AWS Cloud Experience, proficiency in Docker, Containers, and Microservices.
  • Skilled in modeling complex scientific data using efficient Data Structures.
  • Experience in architecting complex systems with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Proven track record of leading teams to successful product launches in cross-functional departments.

**Desired Qualifications**

  • Experience with Chromatography systems and principles or commercial Apps development for Analytical Instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in creating roadmaps/milestones and reporting on risks and progress to project stakeholders.
  • Experience bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Background in working within cross-functional product teams involving hardware and software components.
