Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and implement product design and development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams on tool/process design, prototyping, process enhancement, cost analysis, and ERP system BOM/routing creation and upkeep.
  • Advocate for and apply Lean manufacturing principles throughout the organization.
  • Engage with customers and sales teams to conceptualize and develop innovative products.
  • Act as a technical advisor and active participant in design evaluations and corrective action discussions.
  • Create and maintain product specifications and ERP documentation (including Drawings, ECOs, routings, and BOM).
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and tool room personnel to ensure customer product and delivery expectations are fulfilled within budgetary and time constraints.
  • Foster and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Contribute as a member of the material review board.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in project management.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerance specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, presentation, and verbal) across all levels of the organization.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project engineering experience in a stamping, fabrication, or high-volume repetitive manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in engineering CAD software applications.
