- Oversee and implement product design and development initiatives.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams on tool/process design, prototyping, process enhancement, cost analysis, and ERP system BOM/routing creation and upkeep.
- Advocate for and apply Lean manufacturing principles throughout the organization.
- Engage with customers and sales teams to conceptualize and develop innovative products.
- Act as a technical advisor and active participant in design evaluations and corrective action discussions.
- Create and maintain product specifications and ERP documentation (including Drawings, ECOs, routings, and BOM).
- Coordinate with manufacturing and tool room personnel to ensure customer product and delivery expectations are fulfilled within budgetary and time constraints.
- Foster and maintain vendor relationships.
- Contribute as a member of the material review board.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in project management.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerance specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication skills (written, presentation, and verbal) across all levels of the organization.
- Minimum of 5 years of project engineering experience in a stamping, fabrication, or high-volume repetitive manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in engineering CAD software applications.
