Job Summary

NESCO Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to lead our manufacturing operations team. As a key member of our engineering and manufacturing department, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing product design and development projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Coordinate and execute product design and development projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products to our customers.
  • Manufacturing Support: Support the manufacturing department through tool and process design, prototyping, process development, costing, and ERP system BOM/routing creation and maintenance.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Ensure and promote Lean manufacturing techniques are utilized throughout the facility, improving efficiency and reducing waste.
  • Customer Support: Work with customers and sales teams to design and develop products that meet their needs and requirements.
  • Technical Advisor: Participate in design reviews for new tools and corrective action meetings, providing technical expertise and guidance.
  • Product Development: Create and maintain product and specification files, including drawings, ECOs, routings, and BOMs.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with manufacturing and tool room employees to ensure customer product and delivery requirements are met within budgeted time and cost constraints.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
  • Material Review Board: Participate as a team member of the material review board, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Engineering degree (BS minimum preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of project management experience, with a minimum of 5 years of project engineering experience in a stamping/fabrication or high-volume repetitive manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Expert knowledge of manufacturing processes, problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills (written, presentation, and oral) across all organizational disciplines.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in the use of engineering CAD software.
