Position Overview

The IT Department at Parry Labs is seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to deliver comprehensive technical assistance to business users, services, and systems. This role involves managing end-user support and helpdesk inquiries, addressing various technical incidents, fulfilling requests, and aiding in the setup of new workstations and software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver first-level IT support to users across all Parry Labs locations.
  • Monitor and respond to helpdesk requests through multiple channels including email, self-service, phone, and in-person.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, replace hardware components, conduct system upgrades, and perform basic deployments.
  • Install and configure workstation hardware, peripherals, and software for end-users.
  • Manage access permissions and assist with password resets for applications and systems as needed.
  • Provide remote support to employees at different locations.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues, including internet access, VPN, and O365.
  • Assist with hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Set up and maintain voice and printing services for users.
  • Collaborate with IT team members on critical incidents, IT projects, and scheduled maintenance.
  • Work alongside Cybersecurity team members to address and remediate security vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain an inventory of assets, including workstations, monitors, phones, and peripherals.
  • Create instructional articles to support self-service and reduce helpdesk inquiries.
  • Engage with end-users, management, and third-party contractors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with at least 5 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role.
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Possession of relevant IT certifications (e.g., A+, Network+, Security+, Cloud+, MS 365 Fundamentals, ITIL).
  • Experience with the Microsoft Technology Stack (Windows, Active Directory, O365, Intune, SharePoint).
  • Hands-on experience supporting a large user base, including laptops, desktops, access management, and collaboration tools.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other technology products.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic IT technical issues.
  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
