Position Overview:

As an Autism Support Specialist at Verbal Beginnings, LLC, you will play a vital role in providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children diagnosed with autism. Our organization is dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment where both staff and children can thrive.

Work Schedule and Compensation:
Location:
This role is based in our dedicated ABA center.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Shifts available are from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Flexibility to work either shift is required.

Compensation:

The starting pay for this position is $23.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and certifications.


Key Responsibilities:

As an Autism Support Specialist, your daily tasks will include:

  • Implementing individualized treatment plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to enhance communication, behavior, daily living skills, and social interactions.
  • Collecting and documenting data to track the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborating with clinical supervisors to make necessary adjustments.
  • Providing a supportive environment that recognizes the importance of teamwork in achieving positive outcomes for children.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following attributes and qualifications:

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to assist children with autism in reaching their goals.
  • A strong interest in learning about Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy.
  • The ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member.
  • A High School Diploma is required; a Bachelor's Degree (completed or in progress) is preferred.
  • At least 6 months of experience working with children is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation are necessary.
  • All candidates not currently RBT certified will be required to complete the RBT coursework and pass the RBT exam within 90 days of employment.
