We are in search of a **Senior Manager of Customer Solutions** to collaborate closely with our clients, ensuring the effective implementation of new AWS Industry Products (AIP) services and solutions across the **Healthcare & Life Sciences** and **Manufacturing** sectors. In this prominent role, the Manager serves as a **trusted advisor**, guiding customers to achieve transformative results through AWS.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Solutions Managers (CSMs) are dedicated to accelerating our clients' cloud adoption and maximizing the value derived from their cloud investments. They achieve this by partnering with customer leaders and their engineering teams to strategize and oversee their cloud journey. CSMs also advocate for their customers within AWS.

  1. You will assume comprehensive ownership of a diverse array of projects and initiatives, engaging and influencing various core account groups (Sales, Support, Solutions Architecture, and Professional Services), product/engineering teams, and customer teams.
  2. You will cultivate a profound understanding of your customer's business vision, culture, and processes, promoting AWS services and guiding customers to adopt optimal solutions at the right time.
  3. You will apply your delivery expertise in large-scale transformations to assist customers in navigating their AWS adoption stages, addressing challenges with innovative ideas, tools, and mechanisms.
  4. You will act as the customer's cloud journey coach, representing their voice within AWS and advocating for their needs to AWS leadership, product, and engineering teams.
  5. You will utilize your communication, program management, technical, operational, and transformational skills to earn trust with your customers, comprehend their strategic objectives, translate them into actionable plans, ensure programmatic governance, and deliver successful, often industry-altering, outcomes on AWS services.
A Day in the Life

Accelerate the Customer's Cloud Adoption Journey and Maximize Customer Value: This is achieved through ownership of:

  1. Adoption: Supporting customer business objectives and advancing their cloud adoption by defining key milestones, removing obstacles, and implementing processes to expedite workload migrations.
  2. Enablement: Driving changes in the customer's People and Operating Model by defining a training strategy to upskill both technical and non-technical roles across the organization, ensuring effective AWS adoption.
  3. Governance: Establishing governance structures to effectively manage both our partnership with the customer and their AWS adoption.

Identify & Align on Strategic Opportunities: CSMs collaborate with the Customer Account team to work backwards from the customer, identifying and pursuing strategic cloud opportunities. These opportunities may include large-scale migrations, data analytics, digital innovation, high-performance computing, product innovation, and business agility. CSMs support these initiatives through various mechanisms, including TCO analysis and business case assessments.

Basic Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience leading large-scale technical or engineering programs with a proven track record of thought leadership, business case development, and successful program completion.
  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience, engaging with customer executives and technologists to address business challenges using advanced technologies.
  • Experience leading both technical and non-technical transformation project teams with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across diverse functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP certification, or SCRUM/Agile, SAFe certification.
  • Experience implementing cloud services, including migrations and modernization projects.
  • Experience in external customer-facing roles within the healthcare & life sciences and/or industrials & manufacturing sectors.
