The Eliassen Group is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to enhance our client's mobile and wireless projects. This role involves taking charge of the ideation, design, development, and ongoing enhancement of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Pipelines. We are in search of a DevOps visionary who can drive the continuous improvement of operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and optimize current CI Pipelines.
  • Craft innovative solutions for deployment challenges.
  • Design, develop, and refine existing AWS environments through advanced CloudFormation and Terraform scripts.
  • Enhance iOS and Android build Pipelines for better efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development teams to boost productivity.
  • Engage with architecture teams to conceptualize and implement infrastructure and CI/CD enhancements.
  • Develop Features and Epics, collaborating with the broader team for prioritization.
  • Prepare Stories ahead of SAFE Program Increment Planning (PIP).
  • Lead PIP sessions with the team.
  • Facilitate story grooming sessions.
  • Oversee Sprint Planning activities.
  • Improve existing Android, iOS, and Server Pipelines to integrate automated end-to-end testing, enhancing deployment confidence.
  • Work with automation framework teams to develop CI solutions that elevate automated testing.
  • Enhance SonarQube capabilities for Android and iOS SDKs and APKs builds.
  • Strengthen SonarQube functionalities for server code builds.
  • Innovate and implement enhanced production monitoring across all products.
  • Create new CI/CD Pipelines for upcoming projects.
  • Apply industry and AWS best practices for deployment, monitoring, and alerting.

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated problem solver with a passion for developing DevOps solutions using diverse tools and techniques.
  • Proficient in design documentation.
  • Experienced in writing and prioritizing Agile Epics, Features, and Stories.
  • Leads grooming sessions with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in designing and deploying AWS solutions utilizing EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, Elastic Beanstalk, Elastic Load Balancer, and Auto Scaling groups.
  • Familiarity with GitLab for code branching and merging.
  • Strong expertise in developing CI/CD Pipelines, particularly with GitLab Runner and Jenkins.
  • Understanding of AWS Virtual Private Clouds and Networking.
  • Excellent design documentation and communication skills.
  • A commitment to coding automated Pipeline and AWS solutions rather than one-off builds.
  • Experience integrating automated end-to-end testing into CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Knowledge of best practices for DevOps in cloud environments.
  • Experience in Agile work settings.
  • Willingness to mentor and guide other engineering team members.
  • A deep understanding and enthusiasm for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodologies.

Related Work Experience:

  • 3 - 7 years of experience in a DevOps role.
  • Proficient in Docker for container deployments, creating development environments, and managing Docker containers in Kubernetes.
  • Experience integrating tools like GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, and Slack for seamless information sharing.
  • Experience managing and deploying server releases to production environments.
  • Experience in monitoring and developing alerts for production systems.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. The provided pay range reflects a W2 hourly rate; alternative employment options may result in different compensation.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for various benefits, including medical, dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time as required by law.
