Position Overview:

The IFI Cloud Service encompasses a diverse range of components, including web services, application servers, and databases. The Cloud Reliability Engineer (CRE) will be tasked with deploying and sustaining the IFIaaS applications within Hybrid Cloud settings. The selected candidate will oversee the operational management of all IFIaaS cloud environments, applications, networks, project scoping, and troubleshooting of application and network challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a hybrid cloud infrastructure utilizing Microsoft Azure and on-premise solutions.
  • Lead and contribute to the design and implementation of IFIaaS service initiatives.
  • Ensure the reliability, maintenance, and upgrades of IFIaaS applications.
  • Participate in the service operations center, focusing on proactive data analysis to guarantee uptime and service quality.
  • Conduct product evaluations and provide recommendations.
  • Implement software enhancements and automation strategies to boost performance and reliability of the IFIaaS solution.
  • Revise Build Books, automate processes, and create new templates as necessary.
  • Manage tasks with complete integrity, adhering to the organization's policies and practices.
  • Offer escalation support to resolve technology stack-related issues.
  • Perform incident analysis and problem resolution.
  • Analyze data to assess service quality and system scalability.
  • Collaborate with network architects to design and implement effective company networks.
  • Work alongside the Networking CoE team to develop and enforce network security protocols.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineering personnel.
  • Conduct regular assessments of network performance.
  • Define Epics and User stories, assisting with weekly sprint planning.
  • Address escalated application support issues.
  • Contribute to the operational support model, assisting with requests and participating in a 24x7 on-call support rotation and off-hours maintenance as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT deployments.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise-level microservices applications, including their deployment and maintenance in distributed environments.
  • Significant hands-on experience with DevOps tools (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, etc.), networks, network security, and high-level managerial skills.
