Cloud Engineering Manager III

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Engineering Manager III to join our team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Denver, CO. As a key member of our Non-Relational and Emerging Database focused technical team, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technical managers to deliver excellent results.
Key Responsibilities- Build a Best-in-Class Engineering Team: Lead a team of engineers and technical managers to deliver high-quality results and drive innovation.
- Design and Integrate State-of-the-Art Approaches: Develop and implement cutting-edge solutions to complex and ambiguous problems.
- Cultivate Engineering and Operational Excellence: Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, and drive metrics-driven decision making.
- Mentor and Grow Others: Develop and grow the skills of your team members, and help them take on increasingly higher responsibilities.
- Show Thought Leadership: Demonstrate expertise and thought leadership in cloud engineering and technical management.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate complex technical information to different audiences, and drive collaboration and alignment across teams.

Requirements- Associate's Degree or Equivalent: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience leading an engineering or operations team, with a strong track record of delivering technical projects in a highly technical multi-team environment.
- Current, Active US Government Security Clearance: Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.
- Success in High-Growth Environment: Proven ability to identify and solve ambiguous customer-focused problems in a high-growth environment.
- Strong Analytical and Quantitative Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and perceptions.
- High Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple, conflicting priorities simultaneously and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with System Design and Integration: Experience with system design and integration, and a strong understanding of cloud computing and AWS services.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written, spoken, and listening communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to different audiences.
