As a Senior GCP Cloud Operations Engineer, you will join an Agile team focused on developing healthcare applications and integrating new functionalities while adhering to the highest coding standards.

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Design, implement, manage, and maintain cloud-based infrastructures.
  • Assist in the design and migration of existing applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Plan, provision, deploy, and sustain a cloud solution environment.
  • Proactively monitor security, performance, and costs, responding to alerts and collaborating with development and service delivery teams to resolve issues.
  • Support cloud deployments, ensuring optimal system performance and maintaining uptime standards.
  • Implement security measures for cloud resources, including access controls and encryption.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet application and infrastructure needs.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, document issues, and implement preventive measures.
  • Apply knowledge of emerging technologies and industry best practices to recommend and document specific architectural elements.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancement, re-imagining, and automation in the cloud to improve customer satisfaction and reduce costs.
  • Prioritize and complete assigned tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
  • Deploy, implement, and configure cloud environments according to best practices and security protocols.
  • Stay updated on the latest GCP offerings and provide recommendations to leadership.

5+ years in relevant roles.

Educational Background: -

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc).

Technical certifications in various technologies are advantageous.

Essential Skills: -

  • 4+ years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing solutions on GCP; familiarity with AWS and Azure is a plus.
  • 3+ years of cloud administration and management experience with GCP.
  • Experience in migrating on-premises applications to the cloud.
  • 3+ years of collaboration with application development, maintenance, and release management teams.
  • 3+ years of expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform) and automated pipelines.
  • 3+ years of experience with Terraform.
  • 3+ years of working with Source Code Management (SCM) and CI/CD platforms (e.g., Git, GitLab, Jenkins).
  • 3+ years of proficiency in containerization tools, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
  • 3+ years of experience in virtual networks and general network management.
  • 3+ years of driving key architectural and design decisions.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with at least two programming or scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, Java, Go, Ruby).
  • 3+ years of cloud database management skills and knowledge of various GCP database offerings.
  • 5+ years of experience in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), build, and deployment.
  • Understanding of the six pillars of a well-architected framework.
  • Experience with GCP technologies such as GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Load Balancing, Cloud Functions, and more.
  • Ability to inspire confidence in peers and colleagues by delivering high-quality service.
  • Strong communication skills to convey information clearly and persuasively.

Desirable Skills: -

  • Cloud certifications in Cloud Engineering and Cloud Architecture.
  • Application development experience with Angular, JavaScript, and Java.
