Communications Systems Installer

OBJECTIVE:

Support the physical setup of communication systems across various projects. Collaborate with the project team to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards by following industry regulations and best practices.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Project Initiation Meeting: Confirm comprehension of the project outline, safety protocols, and task assignments.
  • Implementing Project Strategy:
    • Adhere to the daily work schedule while prioritizing safe work practices.
    • Notify the assigned Project Lead and/or PMO of any changes in the Statement of Work (SOW) and adjust the project plan accordingly.
    • Assist in the construction of cable pathways, pulling cables, terminating devices, and conducting system tests.
    • Deliver high-quality and efficient work.
    • Help in compiling a punch list and performing system tests.
    • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
    • Arrive punctually at the job site and demonstrate self-motivation to complete necessary tasks.
    • Act as a cooperative team member, actively listening and acquiring technical skills.
  • Project Completion: Ensure all assigned tasks are finalized and verify the cleanliness of the project area.
  • Post-Project Review: Provide feedback to PMO regarding project management processes, procedures, tools, and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Service Responsibilities: Participate in on-call duties as assigned.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong communication skills and general knowledge of construction or mechanical systems are essential.
  • Familiarity with communication systems, including audio, video, security, fire alarm, wireless, and data networks.
  • Proficiency in PC usage (Windows environment) and basic knowledge of Excel is preferred.

  • Ability to solve problems creatively and exercise sound judgment based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-oriented mindset.
  • Effective communication skills in English are required.
  • Physical tasks include standing, walking, climbing, sitting, and using hands and fingers.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Activities such as reaching, grasping, and carrying are also necessary.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The work environment typically has a moderate noise level.
  • Most tasks are performed indoors, but occasional outdoor work may be subject to seasonal temperature changes.
