Job Overview: The Vehicle Title Processing Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the registration of vehicles and ensuring the Credit Union's liens are accurately recorded on title documents. This position involves diligent research, tracking, and retrieval of missing titles and essential documents while providing support to branches, colleagues, and members regarding title inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts thorough tracking and research to obtain missing titles and documents. Engages with members and loan officers to gather necessary paperwork for registration and lien notation. Maintains and files UCC1 forms.
  • Processes title documents efficiently. Registers vehicles with the appropriate clerks' offices to safeguard the credit union's lien. Secures temporary liens as needed.
  • Provides assistance to members and coworkers regarding title-related questions and concerns.
  • Organizes and distributes incoming mail effectively.
  • Supports correction adjustments as required.
  • Performs additional job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of one year of experience in vehicle title and lien processing or consumer lending within a financial institution is required.
  • A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
Essential Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace, with a willingness to learn new technologies and systems.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of two-digit numbers, as well as basic operations involving money and measurement units.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
