As an Emergency Vehicle Equipment Installer, your key responsibilities will include the installation, maintenance, testing, and removal of 12-volt equipment for law enforcement vehicles. This encompasses, but is not limited to, light bars, sirens, flashers, video surveillance systems, laptops, printers, consoles, transport partitions, radios, speakers, antennas, routers, and glass installations. Dana Safety Supply will offer specialized training for qualified candidates. Experience with automotive or marine 12v systems is advantageous. The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is essential.

Dana Safety Supply services police, public safety, and various other vehicles for both local and federal clients.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, with potential weekend shifts for larger projects.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of vehicle wiring systems
  • Ability to identify electrical circuits
  • Experience with emergency lighting installation is a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Aptitude for working with small components
  • Good auditory and color perception
  • Reliability and preparedness for work
  • Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification is preferred
  • Capability to install auto glass in various settings, including outdoor locations
  • Experience as an auto glass technician is beneficial

The Installer role requires the physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including accessing confined spaces to customize vehicles according to client specifications.
