Position Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Medication Order Processing Specialist. This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance your pharmaceutical expertise under the mentorship of a licensed pharmacist while contributing to the well-being of our patients in a closed-door pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities
As a Medication Order Processing Specialist, your primary duties will include:
  • Efficiently triaging, interpreting, and entering medication orders into our computerized system, ensuring adherence to accuracy and productivity standards.
  • Conducting audits of input data against documentation and making necessary corrections.
  • Performing essential drug calculations, including basic mathematical conversions.
  • Addressing and resolving any issues related to claim denials and following up on claims as needed.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes.
  • Generating reports and keeping management informed about unpaid claims and those pending follow-up.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external clients in alignment with our company values.
  • Assisting with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Participating in various tasks as assigned, which may involve supporting different areas of the pharmacy as directed by management.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a pharmacy-related role.
  • A foundational understanding of pharmaceuticals, medication terminology, and the metric system, along with the ability to operate a computer.

Licenses and Certifications
Must hold a pharmacy technician license as required by state regulations and business needs.
