Job Overview

One of Swoon's esteemed clients, a prominent American industrial firm renowned for its expertise in lightweight metals engineering and manufacturing on a global scale, is seeking a Finishing Process Specialist.

Position Details

This role is onsite and offers a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary range of $80-120K, inclusive of a 401k plan with matching contributions and a comprehensive benefits package.

Note:

  • This is a W2 only position, and candidates must possess eligibility for full-time employment without the need for visa sponsorship.

The Finishing Process Specialist will serve as the corporate authority on Leveling and Slitting, develop and implement Web Handling Best Practices, address issues with a global and plant-specific perspective, enhance process efficiencies by reducing costs and elevating quality, train operators and fellow technologists, and integrate new technologies. This position reports directly to the Thermal and Finishing Process Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance process equipment to boost quality and capacity.
  • Resolve equipment and process challenges related to Finishing operations.
  • Lead problem-solving initiatives and coordinate support from various resources as needed.
  • Establish and implement best practices for diverse Finishing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and facilitate technology transfer.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 4 years focused on aluminum finishing.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, approximately 25-50%, including some international travel.
  • Proficiency in navigating Rockwell PLCs for troubleshooting purposes.
