Bristol-Myers Squibb is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Resource Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Portfolio and Resource Management (P&RM) team, you will play a critical role in enabling decision-making and insights for BMS stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver solutions, reports, and dashboards to answer questions related to demand and capacity management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in the execution of monthly or quarterly reporting deliverables and ad-hoc requests.
- Work with R&D functions and cross-functional leadership to design and implement efficient, integrated processes to link study planning and feasibility, and predicted operational risks into resource forecasts.
- Ensure planning inputs such as templates, drivers, algorithm design are actively managed to represent and evolve to meet organizational needs.
- Apply best RM practices regarding FTE modeling and forecasting, headcount management, time actuals capture and interpretation. Share knowledge and subject matter expertise to develop RM aptitude amongst team members.
- Undergraduate (BA/BS) degree required.
- 5+ years of professional experience or graduate school in the life sciences or biopharmaceutical industry.
- Experience with clinical studies, clinical operations, and drug development preferred.
- Basic understanding of functions, roles, and major work packages associated with each phase of drug development/lifecycle management and the ability to translate that work into project and portfolio level forecasts.
- Experience contributing to cross-functional teams towards goals and decisions, including identifying barriers, facilitating solutions, and escalating risks.
- Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships and work in a team environment.
- The ability to extract and communicate meaningful qualitative and quantitative insights from raw data using modern BI tools (Excel, Tableau, etc.).
- Experience with Planisware Enterprise for project planning and forecasting preferred.
