Key Responsibilities of the Talent Acquisition Specialist:
Oversee the Sourcing and Selection Processes. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure that job descriptions are appealing and precise. Facilitate understanding among recruiters, management, and staff regarding the steps necessary to create a positive, candidate-focused pre-employment experience. Manage a streamlined process for job postings and internal transfers. Accurately and promptly handle related personnel transactions and documentation. Ensure that every application receives follow-up communication, regardless of whether the candidate advances to an interview.

Contribute to the Talent Acquisition Strategy. Partner closely with management to ensure candidates possess the necessary experience, education, credentials, behaviors, and values aligned with St. Peter's Health.

Work collaboratively to develop processes that effectively engage candidates in the benefits of living and working in the surrounding communities.

Collaborate with the internal team to understand and implement an exceptional employee experience. Provide tools and resources for leaders to reference during the recruitment process. Act as a liaison between candidates and management for all recruiting activities.

Engage in Pipeline Development. Ensure effective sourcing of qualified internal and external candidates. Network with educational institutions, job services, career sites, and external candidate databases. Utilize additional sources such as career fairs, mailing lists, and staffing agencies to attract a sufficient pool of candidates for open roles. Work with People Engagement to maintain an engaging online presence and social media strategy.

Enhance the Candidate Experience.

Contact, screen, and schedule interviews with prospective candidates as necessary, ensuring that assessment processes align with the candidate's fit for the role, work environment, and organization.

Provide personalized support to each candidate to create a positive first impression. Follow up with every candidate after in-person interviews in a timely manner, regardless of the outcome.

Relocation and Assimilation Support:

Collaborate with the People Services team to ensure a comprehensive approach to relocation and assimilation for candidates and their families or significant others.

Connect candidates with resources to facilitate their transition. Keep management informed of competitive factors that may influence candidate decisions.

Coordinate the Offer Process.

Act as the liaison among organizational leaders and designated personnel, bringing expertise and impartiality to discussions regarding compensation, benefits, relocation, and bonuses.

Work with the team to understand and address any candidate concerns.

Facilitate Temporary Staffing Solutions. Collaborate with management and position stewardship to coordinate temporary staffing resources as needed. Seek strategies to minimize reliance on and costs associated with temporary staffing.

Support Transitions to Onboarding. Ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance to the transfer of information to the Recruiting Liaison and assigned work units. Contribute to processes that assist management and teams in retention strategies as necessary.
