Position Overview:

Join a dynamic and innovative organization as a Mid-Level Financial Operations Manager. In this role, you will be integral to managing the comprehensive lifecycle of significant Research and Development (R&D) initiatives. Collaborate with a diverse team to define, solicit, acquire, and implement intricate programs. Utilize your advanced project management expertise to develop project plans and facilitate program meetings for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the creation and execution of program budgets, including forecasting and monitoring financial performance.
  • Draft funding documentation and generate reports to ensure stakeholders are informed about financial status and project deliverables.
  • Leverage the organization's financial management systems to aid procurement processes.
  • Work closely with Contracting Officers to prepare and coordinate acquisition funding documents, including Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Demonstrate advanced consulting capabilities through the development of documentation and the coordination of administrative and logistical tasks, including managing schedules and travel arrangements.
  • Analyze and propose innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced environment, directly engaging with Government Program Managers and other federal clients.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in government budgeting and financial management.
  • Proven experience in managing program budgets, schedules, and financial commitments.
  • Ability to manage risks associated with schedules and budgets in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with program acquisition and contracting processes.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination as required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience with an Advanced Research Projects agency.
  • Experience supporting government R&D programs with analytical insights.
  • Familiarity with government financial systems.
  • Proficient in generating funding documentation.
  • Exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possession of a Public Trust clearance.
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.

The salary for this position is influenced by various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience. The estimated compensation range for this role is $52,100.00 to $119,000.00 annually.

  • If the position is onsite, you will engage with colleagues and clients in person as required.
