Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Department Manager to join our team at Albertsons. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and maintaining a high level of operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Store Operations: Direct and control the operation of the store, including managing inventory, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Train, supervise, and schedule barista clerks to ensure optimum staffing patterns and high levels of customer service.
  • Financial Management: Provide financial reporting to Store Manager and Field Supervisor, including sales data and inventory management.
  • Product Quality: Ensure high-quality products are available to customers, including coffee, tea, and other beverages.
  • Merchandising: Change signs and prices as directed by merchandising, and maintain displays in the coffee area.
  • Cash Handling: Operate electronic cash registers to total customers' final bills, receive payment, and count back correct change.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels, including ordering and stocking supplies.
Requirements:
  • Customer Service Skills: Ability to follow company customer service procedures and provide exceptional service to customers.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to train, supervise, and schedule barista clerks to ensure optimum staffing patterns.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to interact with customers and co-workers, and understand and follow directions.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 20 pounds, and perform other physical demands of the job.
