Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to the unique needs and abilities of students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms, small groups, and one-on-one sessions.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to student support.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in special education and implement evidence-based strategies to support student learning.
- Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) certification in Special Education (PreK-8).
- Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities.
