Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Elementary Special Education Teacher to join our team at Springfield Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with moderate disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students.
  • Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and specialists to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and performance.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Appropriate content/program area educator license (Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities) and grade level (PreK-8) licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
  • Experience working with students with moderate disabilities.
