The role

This part-time position is crucial to the university's Talent Development division. The Operations Specialist works closely with essential stakeholders to enhance our comprehensive staff learning initiatives. You will provide essential operational support, including strategic collaboration, planning, budgeting, contract management, and virtual meeting facilitation. Additionally, you will engage in team-building initiatives to foster a positive team environment. This role allows you to influence our learning programs, cultivate strong partnerships, and contribute to our overarching mission. You will report to the Operations & Projects Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage budgetary elements, oversee contract administration, and maintain vendor relationships within the department.
  • Monitor supply requirements and execute supply orders.
  • Establish and nurture relationships across the department and with external partners, promote best practices, drive continuous improvement, and complete assigned tasks.
  • Administer Professional Development Funds for university personnel.
  • Contribute to initiatives that enhance a positive team culture through team-building activities and collaboration.
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating events for learners and team members.
  • Improve the department's work management system through strategic planning and adherence to system conventions.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to build relationships and collaborate across functions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in deliverables.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Willingness and ability to learn project management methodologies and tools.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and dependable individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is $35.03, with actual offers determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity, along with relevant business considerations. The expected hiring range for this position is $32.73.
