Position Overview

This part-time position is essential to the Talent Development department. The Operations Specialist will collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance our comprehensive staff learning experiences. Responsibilities include providing operational support, engaging in planning, managing budgets, handling contracts, and facilitating virtual meetings. You will also play a crucial role in fostering a positive team culture through team-building initiatives. Reporting to the Operations & Projects Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to influence our learning initiatives and build strong relationships within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage budgetary elements, oversee contract management, and maintain vendor relationships within the department.
  • Monitor supply requirements and execute supply orders.
  • Develop and sustain relationships across the department and with external partners, implementing best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Administer Professional Development Funds for university staff.
  • Contribute to promoting a positive team culture through team-building activities and collaborative efforts.
  • Assist in organizing events for learners and team members.
  • Enhance the department's work management system through strategic planning and adherence to system conventions.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to build relationships and collaborate across functions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in deliverables.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to learn project management methodologies and tools.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and dependable individual thriving in a dynamic environment.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $35.03, with actual offers determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity, alongside relevant business considerations. The target hiring range for this position is $32.73.
