Position Summary:

This entry-level role does not require an FAA flight dispatcher license and operates on a schedule from Monday to Friday, 1 PM to 9 PM.

Reporting Structure:

The position reports directly to the Base Operations Manager and involves:

  • Monitoring company aircraft flights in alignment with established company protocols and Federal Aviation Administration regulations.
  • Coordinating scheduled and on-demand flights with clients and internal teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Collaborating closely with the Flight and Maintenance Departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with clients to coordinate the transport of high-priority shipments, adhering to critical delivery timelines.
  • Working with Flight Crew Members to make essential go/no-go flight release decisions, ensuring safe and efficient flight operations.
  • Developing timely contingency plans to address service disruptions caused by weather, air traffic control, mechanical issues, etc.
  • Composing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Collecting and entering flight data accurately.
  • Assisting with aircraft handling, including operating ground power units to start aircraft.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A strong background in aviation, with a foundational understanding of aviation weather, flight planning, and FAR91 or FAR135 regulations.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High school diploma or GED certificate is required; college education or aviation trade school is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, government regulations, and procedural manuals, as well as understand technical instructions in both written and verbal forms.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Compliance with airport badging requirements, including a TSA Security background check.
  • A valid Driver's License and meeting all company insurance criteria are necessary.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ameriflight participates in E-Verify.
