Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at PrideStaff Portland. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the development and implementation of efficient manufacturing processes to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and procedures to meet customer demands.
  • Manufacturing Optimization: Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to production operations, problem-solving, and quality control.
  • Project Leadership: Lead projects to enhance quality, productivity, and process control, and implement process improvements.
  • Training and Development: Train and support production staff on technical matters, including process design and control.
  • Continuous Improvement: Conduct experiments to enhance processes and knowledge, and evaluate and recommend circuit board processes and equipment improvements.
  • Customer and Vendor Relationships: Maintain technical relationships with customers and vendors, and review circuit boards for cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Teach techniques to enhance flow and problem-solving, and share knowledge with the team to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience: Experience in project management, teamwork, and process improvement, and a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Manufacturing Expertise: Experience in manufacturing or process engineering, and knowledge of PCBA-related processes and quality management systems.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry Standards: Familiarity with industry standards like IPC-610 and J-STD.
  • Contract Manufacturing: Experience in contract manufacturing.
