Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate customer specifications for alignment with company policies and relevant industry standards.
  • Identify discrepancies between customer needs and existing quality assurance protocols, working with project teams to address these gaps.
  • Conduct audits to ensure product compliance and maintain accurate compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with process leaders to implement measurement studies, failure mode effects analyses, process control strategies, and statistical process control.
  • Assist in resolving production quality issues through containment strategies, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Provide mentorship and support to Quality Inspectors.
  • Design and execute Verification Test Plans for manufacturing modifications that may affect quality or compliance.
  • Engage in or lead initiatives aimed at improving business processes to enhance quality and productivity within compliance activities, potentially incorporating automation through software advancements.
  • May engage directly with customers.
  • May program and operate Reliability Test equipment.
  • Depending on qualifications, may assist in managing Reliability Lab operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (STEM).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in roles such as Compliance Engineer, Quality Engineer, Process Engineer, or Product Engineer, ideally within a manufacturing context.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an ISO9001 or AS9100 environment.
  • Familiarity with MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-PRF-38535, or similar standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving and corrective action initiatives.
  • Proficiency in analytical software such as JMP.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Skills:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Quality Engineering.
  • Experience in the electronics sector, particularly in SMT/microelectronic assembly and testing.
  • Prior experience in the Semiconductor or Microelectronic Industries.
  • Familiarity with Power Apps, Power BI, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience in establishing and managing databases.
  • Comprehensive understanding of AS9100D and/or APQP (AS9145).
  • Knowledge of Military and Industry Standards (MIL-STD-883, IPC-601).
  • Experience in maintaining compliance records.
  • Experience with thermal cycling chambers.
  • ASQ certification (CQA, CQE, or CRE).

This position is subject to compliance with U.S. Government ITAR regulations due to existing government contracts. Therefore, candidates must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or willing to assist in obtaining a U.S. government license if required.
