Job Overview

Contract Position: Software Development Engineer

Location: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

  • Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.
  • Proficient in Go programming language.
  • Design and develop internal applications in Go to enhance service team operations.
  • Lead the development of features from conception through implementation and ongoing support.
  • Work collaboratively across development, operations, and product teams to align priorities and optimize the use of development tools and processes.
  • Quickly adapt to new technologies and demonstrate a strong learning ability.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment with a solid understanding of agile methodologies.
  • Strong system-level knowledge of Linux.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, fostering positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with deployment automation/configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet), with a preference for Chef.
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
  • Proficient in Jenkins, Docker, AWS, Python, Gradle, Groovy, Artifactory, GCP, and/or Ansible.
  • Comprehensive understanding of full life-cycle software engineering practices, including coding standards, testing, code reviews, source control management, and operational procedures.
  • Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
