Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Software Engineer to join our team at CommonSpirit. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, testing, implementing, and maintaining solutions with limited direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Configuration: Design and configure solutions with moderate to high complexity, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
  • Project Delivery: Deliver project assignments of medium to high complexity, including application design and configuration build.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with the customer user community in a courteous and professional manner to secure business requirements and perform technical requirements translation.
  • Leadership and Coordination: Lead and coordinate peer reviews of single facility or application-focused configuration work to ensure alignment with business and technical requirements.
  • Application Management: Lead application management activities for functional areas to achieve project objectives.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Manage product lifecycle management, end-user enhancement requests of moderate to high complexity, and technical aspects of the modules/applications assigned.
  • Technical Support: Provide administrative, application configuration, or coordinate with Software Development Engineers for code development, performs unit and integration testing for small to medium complex projects or functional areas of larger projects or programs.
  • Research and Development: Research and recommend appropriate application management best practices and tools.
  • Documentation and Training: Assist in documenting business and system processes and procedures through the use of industry-standard process flow and flow charting techniques, and develop training materials and training users on system functionality.
  • Feasibility and Selection: Participate in application feasibility and selection processes.
  • Security and Confidentiality: Protect the organization by keeping information confidential and safe.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience: 2-4 years' experience working in IT as an Application Systems Analyst or Technical Analyst type role, with expertise in the Oncology space - specifically with Varian or Elekta.
  • Skills: Excellent writing/documentation and communication skills, fast learner, quality consciousness, and committed to providing exceptional customer service, knowledge of troubleshooting hardware and software, experience working with project life cycle or project management methodologies, and 4 or more years' experience application support, implementation, or development experience with applications in a hospital or medical-related industry.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with any of the following: Data Innovations Instrument Manager, Telcor QML, Allscripts Lab (LIS), SafeTrace blood bank, Wellsky blood bank, EPOC, NovaNet, Cobas, GemWeb Plus, Aqure, RapidComm, or other lab or point of care support.
  • Leadership and Communication: Advanced understanding and comfort leading business and technology partners through a structured deployment and/or implementation life cycle and support model, and ability to present technical concepts to both IT and non-IT audiences in a concise and easily understandable manner.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule, and meet deadlines.
  • Interpersonal and Relationship Building Skills: Proven interpersonal and relationship building skills, with the ability to manage up, down, and across levels of the organization, highly self-motivated, and attentive to detail.
