Position Overview: The Junior Financial Analyst will be responsible for ensuring compliance, managing costs, collaborating with project teams, and producing precise financial documentation.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Key Responsibilities:
  • Builds strong relationships with operational teams, demonstrating a commitment to understanding their processes.
  • Conducts weekly reviews of timecards for craft/hourly employees on various projects.
  • Maintains accurate financial records for auditing and taxation purposes.
  • Understands billing procedures for clients, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring timely and accurate billing documentation.
  • Familiar with procurement processes, including invoice receipt and payment, while upholding internal purchasing controls.
  • Oversees the accounts payable process and resolves payment discrepancies.
  • Checks vendor and subcontractor accounts for any missing invoices.
  • Reviews project payment applications and invoices for accuracy, tax compliance, and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Ensures that all pay applications are completed prior to submission.
  • Generates Certificates of Insurance (COI) reports, monitors renewal timelines, and notifies Project Managers of any expired certifications.
  • Assists project teams and prepares monthly journal entries.
  • Evaluates and adjusts project costs, budget frameworks, and forecasts.
  • Produces accurate data for Month End Workbooks on a monthly basis.
  • Reviews subcontractor change orders for completeness.
  • Understands the relationship between Accounting ERP and Project Management software.
  • Prioritizes customer service, maintains a positive demeanor, and provides support to team members.
  • Maintains an organized workspace, practices effective time management, and communicates clearly.

Education and Certification Requirements:
  • 0-2 years of experience in financial or data analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or a related field.
Basic Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with a robust work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
  • Deep commitment to safety and accident prevention.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) and open to learning new software.
  • Collaborative team player able to meet deadlines independently.
  • Consistent attendance, reliability, and punctuality.
  • Ability to work safely, follow instructions, and lift weights as required.
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000

Please note that the salary for the selected candidate will be determined based on internal factors, education, experience, and training.
