Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Float Pool Acute Care Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include conducting patient assessments, creating care plans, and implementing and evaluating patient care. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery.

  • Develop and adjust care plans based on patient responses to treatment and regularly assess their effectiveness.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to create, evaluate, and modify care plans that meet patient needs and objectives.
  • Administer medications and perform treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately to non-licensed staff following established standards of practice.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients.
  • Educate patients and families about care and treatment options.
  • Facilitate discharge planning in coordination with the care team.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Educational Background

  • Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse license.
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
