Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Float Pool Acute Care Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include conducting patient assessments, creating care plans, and implementing and evaluating patient care. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, you will ensure the safe and effective delivery of care.
- Develop and adjust care plans based on patient responses and regularly assess their effectiveness.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create, assess, and modify care plans to meet patient needs.
- Administer medications and perform treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to non-licensed staff in line with practice standards.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients.
- Educate patients and families about care and treatment options.
- Facilitate discharge planning in coordination with the care team.
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Education
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
Licenses and Certifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
