Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Float Pool Acute Care Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include conducting patient assessments, creating care plans, and implementing and evaluating patient care. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery.

  • Develop and adjust care plans based on patient responses to treatment.
  • Collaborate with team members to create and modify care plans that align with patient goals.
  • Administer medications and perform treatments in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff following established standards.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients.
  • Educate patients and families about care and treatment options.
  • Facilitate discharge planning in collaboration with the care team.

Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).

Education

  • Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse license.
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
