Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled Estimator/Project Manager with an established client base. In this role, you will handle sales and operational support, which includes conducting site evaluations, fieldwork, job costing, acquiring quotes, developing proposals, performing job walks, and overseeing project management.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships.

Your primary objective will be to ensure timely project delivery, adherence to specifications, budget compliance, and above all, exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough and precise plan take-offs or site assessments for concrete construction, maintenance, and restoration.
  • Analyze and review construction documents, addendums, and specifications for accurate takeoff.
  • Present estimates to the sales manager, sales team, and clients.
  • Perform site visits and participate in pre-bid meetings to fully understand project scope.
  • Ensure a smooth, prompt, and efficient estimating process while meeting client expectations throughout the pre-bid, bid, and construction phases.
  • Oversee projects from inception to completion by creating and updating a master project schedule communicated to all subcontractors, suppliers, owners, and superintendents.
  • Establish subcontract requirements and review them with the sales manager.
  • Monitor projects to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Manage change order pricing and justifications, ensuring written approval before work commences and prompt invoicing upon completion.
  • Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and client representatives to identify project challenges and assist field superintendents in developing solutions.
  • Review field construction activities and provide support to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Prepare detailed site maps illustrating the location and scope of work for client presentations.
  • Document existing conditions during site evaluations with photographs.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the collections process to ensure timely payment.
  • Monitor purchasing activities to guarantee quality materials and timely delivery at competitive prices.

Qualifications:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients, vendors, and team members. A sense of urgency and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are crucial. Candidates should be resourceful in problem-solving and possess a clean driving record. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks are required. A solid understanding of mathematics, analytical thinking, and geometry is necessary. Experience in the construction industry and project management is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word, is advantageous. Familiarity with current ADA standards is a plus.
