We are a prominent Engineering Contractor delivering extensive pavement and concrete solutions to a diverse clientele, including business owners, property managers, utility firms, residents, educational institutions, and municipal entities.
We are in search of a seasoned Estimator/Project Manager with an established client base. In this role, you will be tasked with supporting sales and operations through site assessments, fieldwork, job costing, acquiring quotes, crafting proposals, conducting job walks, and managing projects.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and the capacity to foster and maintain client relationships.
Your primary objective will be to ensure that all projects are completed on schedule, meet specifications, stay within budget, and, above all, deliver superior customer service.

Job Responsibilities:
Conduct precise and thorough plan take-offs or site evaluations for concrete construction, maintenance, and restoration.
Analyze and review construction plans, addendums, and details to ensure accurate takeoffs.
Present estimates to the sales manager, sales team, and clients.
Perform site visits and participate in pre-bid meetings to fully understand project requirements.
Ensure a smooth, prompt, and efficient estimating process that meets client expectations throughout the pre-bid, bid, and construction phases.
Oversee projects from inception to completion by developing a comprehensive project schedule that is regularly updated and communicated to all subcontractors, suppliers, owners, and superintendents.
Establish subcontract requirements for projects and review these with the sales manager.Ensure all subcontract work aligns with project scope and specifications.
Continuously monitor projects to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Manage change order pricing and justifications.
Ensure all change orders receive written approval before work commences and are invoiced promptly upon completion.
Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and client representatives to identify project challenges and assist field superintendents in developing solutions.
Review field construction activities, engineering, and other project support tasks with field superintendents to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
Prepare detailed site maps illustrating the location and scope of work to present to clients alongside proposals.
Document existing conditions with photographs during site evaluations.Additional Responsibilities:
- Oversee the collections process to ensure timely receipt of payments.
- Monitor project purchasing activities to guarantee quality materials and timely delivery at competitive prices.
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients, vendors, and team members.
A sense of urgency and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment are crucial.
Capability to manage stressful situations and resourcefulness in problem-solving are required.
A clean driving record is necessary.
