Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Estimation:
    • Develop comprehensive cost estimates for commercial construction projects, encompassing labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
    • Examine project blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documents to create precise and competitive estimates.
    • Employ estimating software and tools to compile and present detailed estimates.
  • Bid Management:
    • Evaluate bid documents and project specifications to formulate thorough bid proposals.
    • Solicit and assess bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
    • Submit accurate bids promptly, adhering to client specifications and deadlines.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Engage with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to grasp project scope and requirements.
    • Conduct pre-bid meetings and site assessments to gather vital information for precise estimates.
    • Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure optimal pricing and terms.
  • Cost Analysis and Reporting:
    • Execute quantity take-offs and create detailed cost breakdowns.
    • Generate cost reports, budgets, and other financial documents to support project planning and decision-making.
    • Analyze and report on project expenses, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and risks.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    • Maintain accurate and current records of estimates, bids, and project documentation.
    • Ensure all estimates adhere to company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements.
    • Review and modify estimates as necessary based on project adjustments and feedback.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of experience in estimating for commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, PlanSwift) and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Job Type:
Full-time

Pay:
$80,000 - $130,000 per year
