We are in search of a skilled Estimator/Project Manager with an established client base. In this role, you will oversee sales and operational support, which includes conducting site assessments, job costing, obtaining quotes, creating proposals, and managing projects.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, outstanding organizational skills, and the capability to foster and maintain client relationships.

Your primary objective will be to ensure that all projects are completed on schedule, meet specified requirements, remain within budget, and, most importantly, deliver exceptional customer service.

Job Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough and precise plan take-offs or site evaluations for concrete construction, maintenance, and restoration.
Review and analyze construction plans, addendums, and details to ensure accurate takeoffs.
Present estimates to the sales manager, sales team, and clients.
Perform site visits and participate in pre-bid meetings to grasp project scope.

Ensure a smooth, prompt, and efficient estimating process while meeting client expectations throughout the pre-bid, bid, and construction phases.

Manage projects from inception to completion by developing and updating a master project schedule, communicating it to all subcontractors, suppliers, owners, and superintendents.

Define project subcontract requirements and review them with the sales manager.
Ensure all subcontract work aligns with project scope and specifications.
Continuously monitor projects to ensure compliance with company and regulatory procedures.
Oversee change order pricing and justifications.
Ensure all change orders receive written approval before work commences and are invoiced promptly upon completion.
Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and client representatives to identify project challenges and assist field superintendents in devising solutions.

Review field construction activities and provide support to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

Prepare detailed site maps illustrating the location and scope of work to present to clients alongside proposals.

Document existing conditions through photographs during site evaluations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the collections process to ensure timely payment.
  • Monitor purchasing activities to guarantee quality materials and timely delivery at competitive prices.

Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with clients, vendors, and team members.
A sense of urgency and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment are crucial.
Resourcefulness in handling stressful situations is necessary.
A clean driving record is required.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential.
A solid understanding of mathematics, analytical thinking, and geometry is important.
Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
Project management experience is a plus.
Dependability and accountability are key traits.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word, is preferred.
Basic knowledge of current ADA standards is beneficial.
