As a rapidly growing, privately held construction management consultancy, we provide services across a diverse array of sectors, including Federal, Infrastructure, Education, Hospitality, Healthcare, and Commercial.

We are currently in search of a Lead Cost Estimator to join our expanding team in Northern California. This position will cater to the needs of clients across various market sectors in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations throughout all phases of project development.
  • Prepare conceptual estimates, detailed quantity take-offs, and conduct change order reviews and reconciliations, along with providing value engineering solutions as needed.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of all documentation to create detailed cost estimates/models that align with the client's project and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality products to clients by adhering to established QA/QC procedures.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly, tailoring messages to meet project goals.
  • Research and cultivate relationships with vendors to maintain the accuracy of cost information.
  • Mentor and oversee the development of junior estimators within the region.
  • Support business development initiatives by fostering client relationships through the creation of cost exhibits for proposals, meetings, and presentations.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An advanced level of cost estimating experience in vertical construction and engineering projects, including conceptual estimating, take-offs, change order reviews, and value engineering.
  • The ability to accurately interpret construction documents at all design levels.
  • Expertise in On Screen Takeoff (OST) software or similar industry tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
