About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Estimator to join our team at GPAC, a leading provider of high-quality drywall services. As a Drywall Estimator, you will play a crucial role in accurately estimating the cost and duration of drywall projects, preparing competitive bids, and working closely with project managers to ensure successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Cost Estimation: Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for drywall projects.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and constraints, and communicate effectively to ensure successful project completion.
  • Site Assessment and Evaluation: Perform site visits to assess conditions, gather measurements, and evaluate potential challenges to ensure accurate cost estimates.
  • Cost Estimation and Bidding: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and bids, including material quantities, labor hours, and subcontractor costs, and review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project specifications.
  • Cost Control and Management: Monitor project budgets and assist in cost control throughout the project lifecycle, and stay current with industry trends, material prices, and construction methods to provide the most accurate estimates.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Drywall Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of drywall materials, installation methods, and construction processes, proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction documents, excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail, and proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and subcontractors, and ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
